HOW TO HAVE A BUDGET WEDDING

Falling in love is one of the most wonderful experiences one can experience, and it costs nothing to enjoy it. Love, on the other hand, frequently leads to marriage, and weddings may be rather costly! Some couples end up delaying their wedding for years in order to save enough money for the big day, but it is possible to have your perfect dream wedding without spending hundreds of thousands of pesos.

Giving yourself enough time to prepare for your budget-friendly ideal wedding is one of the most important aspects of preparing it. Remember not to rush your decisions because you can regret it later when you discover a better option for less money! Allow plenty of time to take care of everything before the big day, and you'll discover that having a stress-free wedding on a budget isn't so difficult after all! You're getting married, so stay calm, plan ahead, and grin!

1. Make your own plans.

While hiring a wedding planner can relieve the bride and groom of a lot of worry, they are usually fairly pricey. It's tempting to just give the planner a blank check and let them handle everything, but if you're willing to handle things yourself, you'll save a lot of money. When my husband and I were arranging our wedding, we found a lot of packages that cost more than P100,000 and didn't even include food! Start arranging your wedding early to give yourself plenty of time to find great prices on flowers, catering, beauty artists, and other services; you'll save a lot of money by doing so.

2. Wedding shop

Never take the first option that you come across. You don't have to decide just yet, even if you fall in love with that P20,000 wedding gown at first sight. Put it in the back of your mind and keep looking. You might just find something much better for less than half the price! And, while we're on the subject of shopping, Divisoria in Manila would be an excellent place to look for a wedding gown! Starting at a few thousand pesos, you may have your fantasy gown custom-made there.

3. Select a less expensive location.

Outdoor weddings, in my opinion, are among the most beautiful. Wedding church rentals can be expensive, so if you're willing to examine other options, go for it! Ask someone you know who owns a huge property whether you can host your wedding there. You may also do some research to see whether neighboring beaches and other lovely natural areas allow weddings; these will frequently be less expensive to reserve than a large, elegant church. If you really must have a church wedding, select a smaller, local church rather than a well-known landmark church. Having your ceremony and reception in the same location saves money because you just have to rent one venue.

4. Personalize your wedding invitations.

While many people prefer to have someone else design and print their wedding invitations, you'd be surprised how simple it is to do it yourself. My husband designed our invites himself, and they turned out great! If someone you know has even a little understanding of Adobe Photoshop, they'd probably be delighted to help you create a simple but lovely invitation. It will just cost you the cost of printing and mailing them out! If you really wanted to save money, you could just send the invitations digitally (through email or Facebook messages) – just be sure you send them to each person personally, as a mass-email can come across as impersonal.

5. Choose your hair and makeup artist carefully.

The number of hair and makeup artists in Manila alone would astonish you! So take your time when selecting one. Look for makeup artists in your neighborhood on Google or Facebook, and look for ones who have their own website or Facebook page. You may determine who matches your style and is right for you by scrolling through photographs of their work. You'll also get an idea of the pricing range of different artists, making it easier to select one that fits your budget, and your mind will be at ease about their competence because you've seen their work firsthand!

Saying no to unneeded upgrades is another important method for wedding budgeting. Take whatever is included in the package or the cheapest option available. If you absolutely must include handwriting on your invitations, invest in a calligraphy pen and practice until you master the technique. It isn't tough at all. Only a professional would notice it wasn't done by one.
