Couples want everything to be perfect, which may make wedding planning difficult and stressful. When working with a professional wedding photographer, it's also a good idea to give them as much freedom as possible to do their job.
SO, HERE'S A LIST OF QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD AVOID ASKING YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER.
I. DO YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE ME APPEAR BEAUTIFUL?
Nobody wants to be mistaken for someone they aren't. It seems strange and unattractive a lot of the time. We do our best to create symmetry and accentuate your characteristics, but be assured that you will look lovely on your wedding day no matter what! You. are. beautiful. It is our responsibility as photographers to bring forth your greatest qualities and capture you as you truly are.
II. DO YOU FREQUENTLY PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS OF VARYING SIZES, SUCH AS MINE?
Even if they do shoot them, they don't want to let the public know since they don't suit the 'esthetic' they're promoting. Find someone to represent you or your wedding if you or it isn't included on the website. What they emphasize shooting may be seen in their portfolio and blog.
III. WILL IT BE LESS EXPENSIVE IF YOU ONLY PROVIDE US A FEW PHOTOS?
Are you prepared to let them photograph for an hour rather than the entire day if you only need a few images? Because regardless of how many photographs you request, if your photographic crew is working for the whole event, you will be charged the full fee! Understanding that wedding photography is a combination of time, talent, and demand is essential.
IV. CAN WE EXACTLY REPRODUCE THESE PHOTOS FROM MY PINTEREST BOARD?
Your wedding, as well as the honest moments that occur, are completely unique to you and your special day. To put it another way, let's put it this way. What brought you to your photographer in the first place? It was their portfolio, as well as their personality and flair. Attempting to recreate anything is deceptive and frequently appears artificial. Use such photos as inspiration, but don't become too attached to having anything exactly like them. Pinterest and other similar inspiration boards may be quite useful when organizing a wedding; I use them all the time! They are, nevertheless, only that source of inspiration.
V. WHY AM I NOT RECEIVING ALL OF THE IMAGES?
Photographers have invested in education and have photographed numerous weddings, so you can trust them to choose the photographs that best represent you on your wedding day. They consistently inform their customers that quality is more important than quantity. They'd rather spend their time retouching a one-of-a-kind shot of you and your fiancé than three identical ones. Because your eyes are occasionally closed, and someone else is making a strange expression when you are getting ready for the camera! You've engaged them to put their artistic prowess to work for you.
Weddings are a lot of fun, and there's a lot to do! Family members' questions, who to invite, what to eat, what to dress, and a slew of checklists abound. This is something I remember all too well from my own wedding, and I realize how stressful wedding preparation can be. These queries can jeopardize the integrity of photographs, waste time, and disrupt your planned agenda. These inquiries might sometimes come from the couple's family members. There are a number of existing lists that are completely arbitrary and provide no context for why you should be asking them.
While we like all of our couples and encourage any and all honest questions, there are some that may just be ignored. You'll be working closely with your wedding photographers, and you don't want any awkward silences when you're interacting! These are some of the questions you should refrain from posing to your wedding photographer. It's fine to have suggestions and communicate what you like and don't like with your wedding photographer.
